-White phantoms now have a time limit
-Backstabs and Ripostes are nerfed (Backstabs can be escaped and both, the victim and the backstabber can be hurt in the process; same with ripostes, but parries now throw the enemies on their back and you have to wait a little bit untill you can enter the riposte)
-Now there are 3 weapons slots for each hand, unlike Dark Souls' 2.
-Pyromancy is now being cast as a sorcery, because long time before Dark Souls 1, it worked like that, no pyromancy glove existed (Thus, it's a prequel)
-Dark Souls 2 takes place in a different land. Which land it is was not yet confirmed
-Stats are changed a bit
(Elementary Weapons now scale with stats. For example: Fire and Magic scales with Int, Dark and Lighting scales with Faith)
(Resistance now determines stability of a shield [MAY NOT BE RIGHT, ENB's TRANSLATION], Attunement now increases casting speed, so now you can do a full mage, not int/dex hybrid)
(Dexterity now increases Poison and Bleed ammount)
(Agility - This new stat affects movement swiftness - Evading, Trap Disabling, Action Speed)
-There are 2 confirmed covenants, that interact with each other.
(Covenant of Blue [NAME MAY CHANGE] - When in this covenant, whenever a person gets invaded, the game will summon him a blue phantom [Player] to proctect him)
(Protector of Blue [NAME MAY CHANGE] - When in this covenant, you are summoned to a world of a player who got invaded)
[Covenants will now play a more important role and will offer players things that are useful for some group of players, and other covenants will offer something that different players will find usefull]
-You can now be invaded when in Hollow form
-When you die as a hollow, you lose some amount of HP with each death untill you reach 50% of your health. There are no benefits in being hollow unlike in Dark Souls and it makes more sense, because in the lore, being hollow should be something you don't want.
-Enemy AI is better. When you heal, enemies will run at you and much more mechanics that will make your life harder.
-Enemies have now infinite aggro range. This means, that if you rush through a level, you will have quite a big army of enemies chasing you.
-Casting spells now costs stamina
-Combat is heavier
-Dual Wielding is now actually viable and can be used in deadly combos
-You can light torches to lighten up dark areas
-Humanity is replaced with an item called Human Effigy. You can now return to human form while not resting at the bonfire. The humanity counter is replaced with what seems to be images that show how much hollowed one is [SPECULATION]
-There is a confirmed NPC invader - Giantdad. While invaded by this NPC, one has no choice but to get rekt like a friggin casul he is.
